Exactly. Or better yet, copy the effect from frame to frame and just make whatever changes you need.

EDIT: By the way, if your stepmom's school computers have Photoshop, it's quite possible they've got After Effects, too. Especially if they're in a production studio or something. I'd at least look into it.

I use PhotoShop for effects too. It is possible to make an effect like that in the program, and with a bit of frame overlaying, you can get the same results for every shot. It just takes a bit of ingenuity and practice.

Using Photoshop For effects

okay so recently found gigerbrick and i noticed he stated that he uses photoshop
okay this got me excited because recently my step-mom told me that i could have free access to photoshop whenever (her college).
But then a question rose.
He uses photoshop for all of his effects and that would frame by painstakingly frame.
So whenever he has his effect on his frame and switches to the next frame to apply the same effects
how does he get the same results for both frames so it looks good in the animation
do you get what i am saying?
An example is in his Machette trailer where the guy has on sunglasses and is sharpening a knife with saprks flying everywhere.
So the as the wheel is turning sparks are looking even and realistic so how with each frame did he get the same looking sparks?
If you don't understand my question please tell me I know this post seems kind of confusing
but please i need to know if i am missing common sense here.
