Yeah, i was trying to make mouths with the Color Gradient Elliptacal Shape. But when i size it down it's still too big and when you put the mouth down it doesn't even fit the screen so your character looks fat.
Well, mabye you could zoom in, and then put it in and shrink it in to it's zoomed in levels. But I don't use Sony Vegas or anything, I use mostly free programs.

I do rather like the feather option though.

Or, come to think of it, you could just send a message to SmeagolStudios, either on youtube, or on BiM. That's how I got a lot of advise and help.

 That's because it probably dosen't work in Sony Vegas. I use windows Paint, but you can use Gimp for the exact same function. I also know that Smeagol Studios, for Unrenewable, made them in Axogon Composer and mapped them onto a cylinder in Carrara Studios, although I don't know how to use his method. What I do is before I make the .avi out of my animation, I open up windows paint, and frame by frame, matched with my audio track, draw the mouth animations at a zoom of 400%, just so it's easier to get it more precise. Then, after you draw in all the mouthing you want for that .avi, you export it, and you have a perfect mouth animation, but it will be a bit harder if they move their head while they talk.

-BGanimations

P.S.- Thefourmonkeys have a similar tutorial, although they do it differently then me. Their's isn't as accurate, but it's way faster. I like my results better though.
