I just watched the films and loved all of them! It's great to see these kind of experimental films being made, really giving creativity to the medium of stop-motion rather than being stuck on the genre of "brickfilm" as it were.
Keep these kind of films coming!

Tomorrow midnight, the countdown will end.
But you still have the opportunity to make an entry, since you "only" need 15 seconds of animation!
So anyone here for another "THAC"-like entry?

Edit: we are having problems with our website right now. We are deeply sorry for that.
But nevertheless you can participate by sending the link to the given email adress. You will get a response there

Edit of Edit: The forum is online again. Thank you for your patience

Hello there, friends of the sophisticated brick!

The Brickbord hosts a new contest: "The brickfilm/cartoon/animation-contest Nr.2"

Here is the announcement in german: (but also english subtitles are aviable)

https://youtu.be/yrumkYmFr4Y

For this contest, you have to animate a brickfilm also containing other materials like paper, wool, clay or even digital implemented cartoons. Anything that can be animated may go wild! These "non-Brick"-elements have to be seen in every shot of your brickfilm and interaction between bricks and "non-bricks" is highly recommended!
So here are the rules for this competition:

1) Your brickfilm has to be between 0:15 and 2:00 Minutes in length, containing at least one "non-brick"-element as mentioned above in every shot of the brickfilm.
2) The theme of the contest is "split", it has to be somehow implemented in the brickfilm.
3) Your brickfilm has to be uploaded public on YouTube or any other free video webside and presented in the brickboard-forum category "Filmvorstellungen" https://forum.brickboard.de/viewforum.php?f=2
After you have done this, you also may send an E-Mail with the link to the adress, shown in the video.
4) The deadline is 26th September 12pm (Countdown) https://countingdownto.com/?c=3175308
5) After that deadline, there will be a voting phase for up to two weeks, where all the brickfilmers/cartoonists/animators will vote for each other and give constructive criticism in a public peer-review like process. For this special case of voting, there will be another video explaining the system on 27th September (and maybe the guest judges will be revealed), so stay tuned!

There are also nice prices from our sponsor LEGO to win:

1st Place: The lighthouse of Darkness
2nd Place: The outback cabin
3rd Place: bricks and ideas

(Also there may be two more "bricks and ideas" sets to win... but that will be up to the guest judges...)
