Macro focus is absolutely a necessity, but not a macro lens. being that your a professional, any lens you have should be ideal for animation, so instead of paying for an expensive lens, purchase an inexpensive set of macro filters.
Thanks for the answer! What are the advantages of such filters over a set of extension macro rings?

Good afternoon. I'm a trained photographer, and I have some photographic equipment. For my work, I use:
1. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV.
2. Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM.
3. Sigma AF 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART Canon EF.
4. Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC Canon EF.
5. Canon Speedlite 580EX II.
There is also a tripod, extension rings for macro photography, wireless remote control for the camera, LED illuminator Manfrotto Lumie Play, memory cards, backgrounds, and more.

My question to experts: for shooting LEGO Animation, I'm going to buy a macro lens, but I doubt whether this purchase is really necessary. Please look at my lenses and tell me if these focal lengths are enough. Or is it better to buy a macro? I am considering Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro or Sigma 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro Art Canon EF.
Are macro lenses really necessary for shooting LEGO Animation? Which lenses can be considered universal for this purpose? (for a price no more than 1000 dollars). I would not like to have extra expenses.

From lighting equipment, I'm going to buy Rekam CL-435-FL3-SB Boom kit. I think this kit will be enough.
Sorry for my poor English, I use auto-translation.
