The first step is 4 frames, then 3, then 4, then 3 again. Pick a cycle and stick to it. I tend to go with the 3 frame version for most things as it's more evenly timed.

Frame by frame, your guy is at all kinds of angles. Lean forward or lean backward. Forward suggests a sprint - your guy is determined and knows where he's headed. Backward suggests running in fear - the legs are going faster than the rest of the body. You can keep your fig bolt upright if you want but it's not a very natural look.]]></description>
