Hadn't heard of The Race. It was nice and short, got right to the point. I like that sort of thing.
Again I'm not sure about the cult status of things, seeing as in such a small niche community most people are bound to have seen most videos, but as far as cult style content, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxn4JRva3D8 comes to mind.
Oh YES, how could we have forgotten about Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Murder. We love that one.

Wasn't really a big fan of Taco Trouble, tbh. I'm more of a story guy. But, the settings and comedy were pretty spot-on throughout.

I prefer epics like Vandegrift's films, Nathan Wells' early projects (Beast, Driven, 30 Years...), and those sorts of films. But they tend to be fairly well known and respected within the community.

There are a lot of brickfilms I like that aren't as well known. - Although, as previously stated, I doubt they'd count as "cult" brickfilms.

Meh, it's alright. It's funny, it just needs to be discovered.

What are your thoughts on the Biff and Mario series, particularly Taco Trouble?
Is this going to be a Weed Cops appreciation thread?

It's kind of hard to classify a brickfilm as being "cult," since brickfilming itself is, as Nathan Wells has said before, like a niche within a niche. I could easily name some of my favorite lesser-known/not-often-talked-about brickfilms, but I doubt many would really consider them "cult..."

Especially since a fair few of them where contest entries that, while not placing highly, would likely be recognized immediately. (Especially to those of us who may have competed in said contests)

I think more specific guidelines are necessary for such a thread - since it is such of a subjective thing.

For example, would Le Special count? How about Loyalty? And Men Loved Darkness? or Caleb Christofer's great Batman brickfilms?
Yeah, that is true. Although, Blambo Part II and The Franky Job are two excellent, unappreciated brickfilms.

If Taco Trouble isn't a classic, it's at least a cult brick film. It's one of the best brickfilms ever in our opinion. The Biff and Mario series is so underrated, at least by newer brickfilmers.

Also, every thread should be a Weed Cops appreciation thread. ;)
1: TCOTY

It should serve two. Weed Cops is the only thing that comes lose to The Citizen of the Year, and it deserves the kind of praise that has been lavished upon TCOTY. Weed Cops was so ahead of its time as a brickfilm.

The definitive cult brickfilms list:

1. TCOTY
2. Weed Cops
3. Days of Our Pizza
