Unless you're making statues, I can't see much use for these. That doesn't mean they're not cool, though. ;)

Actually I have an idea for using them to ease animating... If you had the minifig do a walk cycle on the stand you could shoot the scene with the stand just out of shot, for someone walking past the camera for example. Then it'd be a simple case of nudging the stand forwards bit by bit.

I really don't see much point in having them. Why not have your sig-fig standing over a pile of vanquished enemies (n00bs, trolls, brainfast); much more macho, that way.

I can't see myself buying any of them. I'm a hardcore purist.

I ordered a pack of ten stands form http://www.minifigworld.com/index.html on Friday. They arrived here today, on a Monday.

They're terrific. Here's my sigfig posing on one.

They're basically just bases for minfigs to be put on display, allowing you to pose them however you like without them falling over. As you can see they have two studs on top for the minfig and a rectangle on the bottom allowing them to be stacked or combined with other Lego pieces.

A great buy in my books, I can see myself ordering a lot more in times to come.
