Sorry if I’m bumping this back up, but this brickfilm is pretty amazing! The lighting is perfect and the animation is very fluid. I’m a fan of TobyMac, and I have to say that this is probably the best LEGO remake of a music video I have ever seen. Keep up the good work!

Love it. Amazing lighting, and animation. I've always been a huge fan of tobyMac. And this is one of my favorite songs of his. This video is very similar to the original music video.:DD

I'm sure no one would mind this thread being bumped, since this is such an iconic video in the Lego brickfilm library, and we'd love to rewatch.

My children watch Liberty Treehouse on weekends on the blaze, and the original Toby Mac video was on today. Liberty Treehose is significant to brickfilming because they aired John D. Thunder's "Perpetual Twilight" brickfilm, which was a contest entry here that was also entered in the internet's MMO filmmaking social experience, "Sneak on the Lot". As the winner, it appeared on Liberty Treehouse. It's awesome to hear Brick7s voice thru the TV speaker, which doesn't normally happen unless I'm watching a Holding Our Own DVD.

Thank you all! I was aiming to get as close to the original as I could with this, so I'm really glad I achieved this. :)

On another note, the behind-the-scenes video is finished!

It's clear you've put a lot of effort into this, and it shows. I love the animation, particularly the movement of the arms. On the whole, not only this rendition is extremely accurate and faithful to the original, it's also highly enjoyable to watch. Fantastic work.

Thanks so much, everyone! I put a lot of work into this, so I appreciate the response. ;)
Edit: May I ask what you used for the microphone? Is that a lego?
https://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3959&idColor=11#T=C&C=11
You'll be able to see the microphone setup in the behind the scenes video, which is coming soon. ;)
Do you have some behind the scenes stuff? I'd love to see how you managed some of those shots with unconventional posing and movements.
See above^

Also, the side-by-side comparison video is out! :D

That was a great brick film, the way you maneuvered the movement and animation in what seems to be a very tight set is a victory on its own.

Honestly great work, you've come a long way since you started brickfilming.

Keep up the great work mate.

I didn't read the comments of others; I viewed and went straight for my first impression. But I doubt there is little I can add that hasn't been said or will be said in the coming few days.

Technically and thematically, it raised the bar in demonstrating what a fine work of art the medium of the Brickfiilm can be. This is definitely the best brickfilm of the year, and I doubt no other film this year will steal that title, unless "The Squire and The Scroll" is released and meets all expectations.

You should be proud.

By the way, I tried to rate this 5 bricks, but BiM returns a 404 error. Can some admin be sue my vote is counted?
