Thanks for the question Weasel Animations! At the point where the gun actually shoots, I put a tan 1x1 round tile on the end of the gun with some sticky-tac. Then pointed a flashlight at it. I had the flashlight stay there for the next frame as the gun starts to pull back, but then I turned it off and just finished the recoil animation. Also, a great way to see how someone animated something, is to slow the video down in the settings, that way you can see it frame by frame.

*Sigh* So I'm guessing most people kind of forgot about me. I just wanted to let people know that I'm still alive. AGAIN I'm going to try to be more active, as some of you might know I don't have a computer at my desk(Yet) and so I use my family's computer to animate. Since I have to animate on the desk that the family computer is on the background quality isn't very good, which sometimes is unmotivating(plus animating just being hard in general). Bottom line I'm going to start animating some every day using the best motive I can think of, no screens till I animate. Motivation from you guys would also be helpful so if you get the chance I would appreciate it if you could just tell me to animate. (If other people tell me to do something I feel more obligated) Also I'm curious what you guys use to motivate yourself? Have a good day :)

So it has been a looong time since I've actually posted on here, so heres a update.
I do have a computer to animate on again so I have no excuse not to animate. I am going to try to do some type of animation every day, even if I don't post it. Then when I have a few minutes of what I think is pretty good animation I will upload it.
I'm also going to try to help some, in the past I've asked for help and not helped in return.

thanks to everyone for being helpful and already doing most of the stuff I'm trying to START doing. :)
I agree. I tried a higher frame rate and it was way too fast. The 0.07 version of your test looks very good.

Thanks MarkNelsonMovies! I'm glad you like it. I'm going to be gone thursday to monday but I will try to do more tommorow.
Hi mighty wanderer! I'm using Movie maker to compile the photos and the duration was 0.08. 0.06 is 16.67 FPS I tested it and its much better, a lot faster but still smoother I am going to put the 16.67 version up so you can see the deference.

Here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjPjzzVrFiE&feature=youtu.be
sorry if ifs I worded that weirdly, so in movie maker if you use a duration of 0.06 that will equal 16.67 FPS.

edit
so I tested using a duration of 0.07 and personally I think its the best FPS to use. I think its around 14-15 FPS and its smooth but not as fast as the the 16.67 version.
hers the 0.07 version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnbYFRyiTpM&feature=youtu.be
