While doing some research on TCOTY, I've discovered an old thread.
Watson used footage from TCOTY to do some facial animation tests.
The link to the test film is dead, unfortunately.

The Citizen of the Year: The only brickfilm built into the very essence of this forum. Balser, the neighbor, the bum, the parrots, the pants, the anniversary, and the scuba diver from the store--all of these are staples of the film that is The Citizen of the Year. This Septemberfest, remember the mouthless mustache man, and never forget the pile of rifles!

This week’s Brickfilm of the Week is The Citizen of the Year by "Watson Films".

What could be a more fitting use of Brickfilm of the Week than sharing the lone masterpiece by the brothers Watson for anyone who may be yet to receive enlightenment. I am referring to The Citizen of the Year.

A directorial debut that redefined the medium may draw comparisons to Citizen Kane, and rightfully so. The Citizen of the Year continues to stun viewers to this day with its masterfully written characters, expressive facial animation and truly seminal storyline.

Such is the power of The Citizen of the Year that it appears to be able to override Bricks in Motion's disabling of embedded videos in posts. Let us view The Citizen of the Year. The link is in this post!

What are your thoughts on The Citizen of the Year? What did you love about it? Can you decide on a favourite moment, or do you love them all equally?
