Just one more character left as backyardlegos has been cast as the Journalist
NOTE:The role of Joseph Clark only has 10 lines and here's the character's section on the original post.
Joseph Clark
Investor in Royce's business, he too is being interrogated by Roger West however he is confident all the time. Despite being an investor he is obviously a good friend of Royce. I don't mind him having a touch of a british accent as it doesn't really matter for this character, but nothing over the top.

Test Lines:
When asked why he was seeing Royce Alfred the week of his death...
"Well you see as an investor I was constantly being called in to see Mr Alfred."

His conversation with Royce is heartfelt so this should be a very well said goodbye.
"Royce, it was nice to see you today. I wish you the best of luck in the future."

CLOSED!!! THANK YOU ALL THAT AUDITIONED.

Hello!
I'm working on a new brickfilm for the Darkness & the Light contest, and I need A LOT of voice actors.. The story is a sort of a cliche detective spin off but with a very distinctive theme and moral.

Basic Idea:
The year is 1926, private Detective Roger West is being interrogated by the FBI after making multiple claims that consist of corruption, murder, and dealing of illegal alcohol. The story revolves around the mysterious murder of millionaire business Royce Alfred. Royce is a friend of Roger West and when he gets the news that Royce was suspiciously slain he feels the need to investigate on his own.

The film is LOTS OF TALKING, it is important that the correct voice actors are used in order to translate the ideas of the story properly. The script is 24 pages in length but as it is dialogue I expect the film to be around 15-18 minutes.

NOTE: While I did mention murder in the story there is no gore, blood, or violence. The assassination is not glorified, and you might even think that it isn't the main focus of the story. The film is mostly set in conversation, flashbacks, and figurative language.

If you want to know more about the script just send me a PM!

Thank you all in advance for your help! If you are interested in auditioning, let me know by either PM-ing me or emailing me at harrypound54@gmail.com

Also I do know that some people might want to see pictures of the characters but right now I'm away from my Lego and I won't be back with it until mid-July... Sorry!

[s]Roger West[/s]
[s]The middle aged detective who has the most lines in the film, he narrates some parts but spends most of the time talking to the FBI Agent. He is supposed to be from New York, but I don't think that a super thick accent will be needed, but if anyone can put a slight twist on his voice that would be great![/s]

[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]Talking into phone at night, quieter.[/s]
[s]"Hello this is Roger West detective services, how may I help?"[/s]

[s]Talking to FBI Agent during interrogation.[/s]
[s]"That night I made a phone call to Mike DiMaggio, chief of police in Chicago.. The phone rang for an unusually long time before I finally got a response."[/s]

[s]Narration at the end of the film.[/s]
[s]"Unfortunately I could not go home either. Just like Chicago, New York had become a foreign land to me. The urban metropolises became too dangerous for me to roam in."[/s]
Taken by Dyland

[s]FBI Agent[/s]
[s]The man that is interrogating Roger West throughout the story, well composed, speaks good english, deeper voice preferably. Typical FBI character. Has lines every other scene (in between flashbacks).[/s]

[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]All lines are of "interviewing" quality. The FBI Agent is friendly but very curious.[/s]
[s]"What about The Esquires? Why is that important?"[/s]

[s]"What else did you find in your investigation?"[/s]
Taken by Pritchard

[s]Royce Alfred[/s]
[s]Slightly older, very wealthy man who was mysteriously murdered in his office. He is very precise, talks with great composure, a true businessman.[/s]

[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]When being interviewed by a journalist.[/s]
[s]"Well obviously it hasn't changed much. We moved into a different kind of business and it's worked out ever since."[/s]

[s]Slightly saddened, talking to a friend.[/s]
[s]"I usually wouldn't agree with an investor pulling out but in this situation it only makes sense."[/s]
Taken by Guss Griswold/GGSStudios

[s]Mike DiMaggio[/s]
[s]The chief of police at Chicago PD. Not trustworthy, voice is deep and slurred, always unsure of what he is doing, pretends to have the situation under control.[/s]

[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]Trying to convince Roger West to leave. Wants to cover up the investigation, sounds frustrated/angry.[/s]
[s]"Yes, this would be the murder location. We actually just finished searching the area so there's no need to be here."[/s]

[s]Trying to get West to leave Chicago, this time he is confident that he has won against Roger West. He smirks in this line.[/s]
[s]"Well, there's nothing left for you to do West. I suggest packing your bags and going home. This case is closed."[/s]
Taken by Dyland

[s]Journalist[/s]
[s]Writer for the Chicago Times that interviews Royce Alfred days before his death. He is being interviewed by Roger West, but also has flashbacks to seeing Royce face to face. Younger, and slightly higher pitched voice.
[/s]
[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]In this line he is directly talking to Roger West, he is nervous.[/s]
[s]"Oh, after all this is what I do for a living isn't it? Heh.."[/s]

[s]Here he is reliving the moment he spent with Royce Alfred, here he appears as a well composed journalist asking Royce a question during his interview.[/s]
[s]"Should individuals do what ever it takes to obtain wealth?"[/s]
Taken by backyardlegos

[s]Joseph Clark[/s]
[s]Investor in Royce's business, he too is being interrogated by Roger West however he is confident all the time. Despite being an investor he is obviously a good friend of Royce. I don't mind him having a touch of a british accent as it doesn't really matter for this character, but nothing over the top.[/s]

[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]When asked why he was seeing Royce Alfred the week of his death...[/s]
[s]"Well you see as an investor I was constantly being called in to see Mr Alfred."[/s]

[s]His conversation with Royce is heartfelt so this should be a very well said goodbye.[/s]
[s]"Royce, it was nice to see you today. I wish you the best of luck in the future."[/s]
Taken by Brick Block Animations

[s]Butler[/s]
[s]The Butler has the least important role of the film, he appears in just two scenes and acts as a medium that proves multiple theories on Royce's assassination to be false. He does have a small conversation with Roger West and tries his best to be helpful. He is supposed to be an older character, and again British accents are welcome.
[/s]
[s]Test Lines:[/s]
[s]When whispering into Royce's ear, gives the impression that this is nothing new.[/s]
[s]"There's a call from North side.."[/s]

[s]When talking to Roger West in the hall way.[/s]
[s]"Ah yes, I know what letter you are talking about but there's really nothing too peculiar about it. "[/s]
