Along with Star Wars, this is my most anticipated film of 2015. :)

Anyways, HOLY COW this was awesome. It's just so clean and professionally done, I honestly think it's going to make a substantial impact on the status and reputation of brickfilmers within the next couple years. Great job, really proud to have helped support this.

If the documentary is half as good as the teaser is, then I'll be a happy camper!

The presentation here is just spectacular. I love that the quote was included at the beginning, as, it really tied everything together, aside from everyone having ties to brickfilming.

The documentary seems to be very introspective, looking in every detail, opinion, and experience of each interviewee, which is very nice. I'm glad this won't be just a look at peoples collections. It seems to be a much greater experience - going further into the minds of these creators, not just a look at their tools of the trade.
It looked like you were shooting with a Cinestyle picture style.
Primarily shot in a non-cine color style on the Panasonic Gh4, actually! With a little stuff from the Sony A7S and whatever Tommy Williamson uses. I find the really flat styles aren't very helpful unless you're shooting an outdoor setting with a huge amount of dynamic range. There is a certain flatness to the color grading, though, I have become a big fan of the look of Philip Bloom's short films and I think I'm emulating that somewhat.

Identifying the Brickfilmers

The man at the beginning is Errol Elumir, a member from the olden days of Brickfilms.com.

Chris Boyer (slothpaladin) begins speaking around 0:19.

At 0:42 we see James Morr, aka KG / Spastikchuwawa, as Rachel Dew (Dewfilms) speaks.

At 0:59, that's Sean Willets (filmyguy) working on the Thor Vs. Zeus Epic Rap Battle video. Forrestfire101's shoulder makes a brief cameo on the right.

At 1:01 we see Tommy Williamson (Bricknerd Studios) overseeing James Morr and Kevin Ulrich (Brotherhood Workshop), filming footage for the official LEGO documentary Beyond the Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary.

At 1:04 we're with Garrett Barati in his animation studio.

1:10, Jay Silver. 1:21 - the golem from his film The Gauntlet!

1:36 NXTManiac, aka Dylan Woodley.

Well, looking really nice. I will definitely look forward to watching it in its entirety. Glad I backed this.

One aspect of watching this that will be interesting is putting faces to names. I have no doubt I know every name in there, but I don't know who goes with what name! :D

Actually, this was all part of the master plan….to woo the female demographic into watching the documentary.

Heck, you have a TON of experience with this. After all, you're our unofficial 'media darling/ambassador.' :)
