Sorry... :D

That's surprisingly fitting! XD

That's what happens every time I try to explain to my dad anything off screen during the movies.
Haha! That's pretty funny! I never even thought of Gandalf as being young at one point. He looks great rocking that slick hair. Great job, Jampot. :)
Thanks! It's hard to imagine him without the long grey beard. The choice of hair and face was kind of out of a nerdy idea my mum had (she's a bigger LotR fan than I am, which is saying something) of how the Istari would be when they were younger, that Gandalf would be the roughest and most battle-hardened, leading to him mellowing out but still being very capable in his old age. It presents a nice contrast to Saruman who's a snob from when he arrives in Arda all the way through the next thousand years (he was told to nanny Radagast and then just abandoned him in Mirkwood).

That got very nerdy very quickly.

Istari Adventures: Back In My Day

YouTube

Come to think of it, where does Gandalf even live? There's so much we don't know about him!

This video is about a year late. I had the idea for it last December, scripted it in July, and finally got around to animating it this week. Even though the last Hobbit film comes out this December, I'm hoping to do a couple more episodes of Istari Adventures next year. They've all proven fun to do, and a nice breath of fresh air between other projects.

EDIT: Here's a behind-the-scenes blog post!
