Ohh alright I understand what you mean, The use of F word was quite frequent and therefore repetitive, I do agree that variety would be nice. I'll be sure to fix this in future films.

Thanks for clarifying and I'll be sure to check out The thick of it, should I need a variety in profanity or if I do return back to Lego Underworld.

Sincerely,
Divine.

I'm not saying that the swearing was out of place but some of the repeated dialog contained swearing, which many people only notice the use of the f-word, and not necessarily the curse words themselves, possibly some more variety in the profanity would be nice. (If you ever need to research variety in profanity be sure to check out The Thick of It, it's amazing)

Ha ha thanks for that Pritchard!

And yea not a problem, I am wary of members of the forum not participating being part of brickfilms that require or have course language in there.

I am thankful for you taking the time to judge the video with the audio muted!

Yes unfortunately the light flicker couldn't be avoided. The fact I used lamps in a completely dark room I feel that the light flicker was caused by a flickery bulb. I did make attempts to fix this unfortunately there was nothing I could do at the time.
the animation gets pretty choppy and doesn't ease in/out very well. It seems to be a bit better at the start, but quickly descends in quality.
I will definetly work more on the ease in/out for the time I thought it was alright but there definetley could be improvement. Which I will hopefully work on in the next film.
And lastly, the set was little more than a big gray wall, two boxes and a doorway. Not much, and somewhat boring.
It really needs something in the wall to break up the gray, then some more props scattered around to help fill it out.
Yea I agree with you completely for this. I did notice the lack of props and set design in terms of the room they were in. I just didn't really know what to make out of it at the time, but hopefully this is something I will improve in time, thank you for your great feedback.

funmiproductions,
Hey there thanks for your feedback I appreciate it.
The swearing definetly plays a major part in the story should it continue. Yes I do agree that the camera angles are very basic at the least, however I have never done camera angles before but this is something I do hope to improve later on.
Set design was boring a bit, could have had props
Yeah I do apologize for that, I do hopefully plan to fix up set designs and add more props in future for this scene it was really meant to be more of an empty room or basement kind of thing but I can see the flaws that came with it. Which hopefully I'll be able to correct in future.
Looking forward to see more stuff from you.
Thanks mate appreciate it!

sillypenta,
Hey there silly I can totally understand how you would be distracted by the strong use of course language and drug reference, however this was crucial to the story especially in expressing what kind of characters these people are. But I totally understand and agree with your point. I was also most pleased with the voice actors as well they did a fantastic job. Thank you for your feedback.

SlothPaladin,
Thanks for your feedback and response, I do agree with you to some degree with the use of swearing, especially on Franks part but I just felt that if it was left out that it wouldn't go smoothly or as effectively in delievering the message it was meant to. But I can see where your coming from in terms of repeat.
Here (14s mark) Frank is frustrated and hits his head with his hand and this takes WAY TO LONG, it make a really awkward pause in the flow of the dialog. It should have taken 1 second, max.
This is definitely something I felt strongly about the same way you do. Originally I did want to make it much faster than what it is. However I just felt that if it was a second long or any shorter that it wouldn't look as realistic or it would be too fast, however I do also agree it could have been faster.
The way I thought of it when I was overlooking the 14 second mark was that Frank was shaking inside and he had like a meltdown phrase were he went much slower than normal. But I do appreciate your concern and feedback and will work on it in future.

Thank you all for your feedback, concerns and advice.

Sincerely,
Divine.

I don't feel like it was necessarily that there was to much swearing, but the fact that Frank had a tendency to repeat himself (with the use of the f-word) in the repeated phase, so making the dialog less repetitious would help with that.

The voice acting is quite good, but I was distracted by just how much swearing and drug referencing there was. Obviously some is necessary in context, but it seemed like you were trying to shoehorn in as much as possible and the amount didn't feel natural.

The light flicker was a bit of a problem, but the animation is decent enough. A bit too much of the f word, a tad unrealistic, but goes well with the setting and story. The camera angles seemed basic, and had a lot of extra space, and by that, I mean that we see close to the top of the set. Set design was boring a bit, could have had props. But, decent. Looking forward to see more stuff from you.

Like so? ;)

Also, thanks for the warning about the language. Normally I'd just avoid watching something like this once warned, but I decided this time to mute the audio and comment on just the video.

Now, there seems to be a large amount of light flicker and the animation gets pretty choppy and doesn't ease in/out very well. It seems to be a bit better at the start, but quickly descends in quality. Also, there are only about four or five different camera angles in the whole thing. That's not a huge problem, but mixing that up and adding some more will help give it more visual interest. On that subject, there seemed to be a lot of empty space above the characters.
Moving the camera down to center things more would help balance that out.

And lastly, the set was little more than a big gray wall, two boxes and a doorway. Not much, and somewhat boring.
It really needs something in the wall to break up the gray, then some more props scattered around to help fill it out.
The brick construction tried to help, with the interlocked layers, then the stacked, then more interlocked, but that alone can't solve it.

Hey there guys,

NOTICE:
Before we get into what the clip is about I would just like to caution members here that there is strong coarse language and talk of drug use. I understand people can get easily offended even if it is a brickfilm so I just wanted to warn you guys ahead of it. I have also put an annotation should you decide to watch the link before reading. I would also appreciate any feedback on how you felt the animation was.

Lego Underworld:
Originally was working on a full series that would take ''Lego Underworld'' into the mafia world. I had scripted enough for about 15 minutes worth of footage, however due to lack of space and time on my hands I have decided to put this aside at this time and release the first scene. The way I have written the script in terms of scenery is the fact they could be all out of place allowing me to work on which scene I felt most comfortable with at the time, then adjusting it properly when I finally compile them all together.

When I was working on this scene, for some weird reason I did experience quite a bit of light flicker, I do believe it was caused by the lamps light bulb I was using at the time so I do apologize about that in advance.

For this time I have also left out my logo as this wasn't originally meant to be uploaded until the whole series was completed.

Also thank you for the great voice actors who voiced in this scene.
