There's a problem in the splash in that it only goes up. It also needs to splash out.

For the flow effect, it just looks too jumbled. I'd suggest using something closer to what I used in Leprechauns In Frances for just one little shot.

You need to develop a walking style and consistently stick with it. Come up with an easy to remember system or even draw a pencil chart for your wall until you can memorise it. Have the arms in consistent positions on each frame and not just randomly move them about.

Yes, I need to work on my arm movements. I have always had trouble coordinating my arm movements with my walking leg movements. I'll have to do that some time and see if I can get it right.

I guess he needed to jump more to belly flop, so thanks for the input on that. Thank you for your critique, that's what I asked for, honest critique. :)

Sorry - the 2nd one - the one you filmed 'today'. The water looks good. It looks 'fast'. If it is meant to be a slow flowing river then too much is moving too quickly.

The walking - his arms don't move. I know its only one or two steps but anyone walking as fast as that would move their arms.

The jumping, starts off okay, he goes horizontal and then falls straight down, belly flop style. Which is fine - I'm being really picky. He might want to dive down slightly head first which is more natural. Really, but - I'm being a critique because that's what we do on this forum and you asked. :) If you wanted to display someone moving towards a river and jumping in then you've done that very well. :)

Also, which video was the jumping too fast on? 1st, 2nd, or both?

This is a test of a LEGO river. I have made 2 versions, one without a flowing current, and one with (the current is made of trans 1x1 plates). Which looks better and what are your thoughts on it? Also, what do you think of the Cinematic aspect ratio for the film? Should I use normal 1080p or the cinematic aspect ratio? (Please note, the small light flicker will be removed in my final film, Rednecks & Redcoats, but since these are tests, I did not worry about removing it)

Here are the two videos:

(This one was filmed a while ago) NOTE: The animation might not be as smooth as it ought to be. I have improved my camera setup and animation skills since. ;)

(This one was filmed today)

All opinions and critique are appreciated!

Thanks!
