Huh. I don't think I ever saw that head in the figure creation bin. But my wife is the one who usually makes the figures at the store. I'll put her on the lookout for it next time we travel there.

Yes, that head does exist. The minifigure head I used for the main character in Obscured Outlooks (my BRAWL entry from last year) had a :D face on the front and a :( face on the back, with a teardrop (just like the one pictured above. If that's the head you were looking for, I think I got the head at a LEGO Store awhile back. I'm sure you could find a few there.

Thanks all. While that face may be something I'm looking for in my collection, Golden, I have a personal commitment not to use altered bricks in my series. I just like classic faces so much, having grown up in a time when the plain smiley was the only type there was (and also, in the time when they had no faces). If you're leaving us, Golden, kep in touch every now & then.

Topit, is that an official minifigure?

I was just typing elsewhere and made a sad smiley and the icon for it came up, then I wondered if there is such a lego for a plain face sad smiley. Does it exist? If so, I'd like to find one. A couple days ago I saw Lego's new History of Minifigures book and was going to purchase it but some unscrupulous person stole the Stormtrooper from it. Lame. If I had the book I could look it up.
