much easier thanks to End and you! I'm hoping to spend my night building one of these so I can incorporate more elaborate camera movements into my films! I simply cannot express how grateful I am for you guys! :D
I don't know if anybody will, but it'd be great if someone made a tutorial for building a good dolly.
That's completely unnecessary.

It's very easy to see how the dolly is made. I took pictures from enough angles to see all of it. It's especially easy to see with End's. It's also very hard to take it apart and put back together. I don't want to waste my time making one.

Also, depending upon people's setups, the exact requirements for the construction could differ. End and I, for instance, have very differently made versions of the same general idea. As long as one understands the basic principle (which should be pretty obvious) one should easily be able to build one of their own.

End's dolly deserves to be quoted in its entirety.
There are many different ways to build a perfect dolly. End's is actually easier to see:

(the rig)

(the mechanism)

(sticky tack keeps it from moving)

I need to build a dolly now. I always thought it was a good idea, but was too lazy to try and figure out how. I am now motivated to go figure it out. I am really excited.
I assure you, building a good dolly will probably be the most rewarding investment of time you will ever make as a brickfilmer.
Measuring out dolly shots is hard, and takes a load of stressful time, but with this perfect dollies become the easiest and fastest thing to animate.
makes me want to get a DSLR
Though, for camera movement, a high quality web can is probably a more advantageous thing to have. There are many sorts of camera movements which I would very much like to try out, but I cannot because I haven't been able to build a thing capable of supporting my camera's weight. I'm still trying to find some ways, though.
