Brick 7, I agree with you that Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol is one of the all-time best Christmas shows EVER! It's on my top ten list, which I don't really have. I finally acquired a DVD copy of it so I could put the VHS tape to rest. I have to watch it tonight!

Oh, and how can I forget EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, the greatest romantic movie in the history of the world...?

Had to re-watch this today to see for myself, but basically, the movie "The Princess Bride" hints at the possibility of it taking place during Christmas. There's a holiday decoration in the background of Fred Savage's bedroom.

I watched the new Elf animated special featuring Jim Parsons & Mark Hamill. It harkened back to the "Rankin Bass" animations, and basicly retold the "Elf" story as a musical. I liked it. Almost missed it because it was on NBC but a friend told about the special.

In terms of non-LEGO, feature films, All That Heaven Allows is a truly fantastic christmas film. I saw it for the first time earlier this year and am looking forward to watching it again with my girlfriend over the holidays. It's one of the few really romantic films I've seen that don't get too romantic.

I wrote Brick7 a 12-page letter explaining all of my family's Christmas traditions. Among them is to watch "Jingle All the Way" after 4PM Christmas Eve Mass. (Midnight mass is at 8PM(!)) Our friend Matt, who always attends with us, is one of our guests who watches it with us every year. We have our own list, but we broke from tradition and watched "Scrooged" and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", the latter one of my leser favorite Christmas movies. We ended up watching one of those Hallmark romance Christmas movies that are all the same. I forget the name but Alan Thicke was the father of the girl in this one. Then there's our new tradition since 2013, the film that mocks all those kind of movies: The Christmas Twist. It's a bearable 15 minutes. It's like Sharknado 2 in that it tries to be so awful it's good, but unlike Sharknado 2, this actually was. Sharknado 2 was so awful it wasn't good.

The Christmas Twist:

Well, it's that time of year again folks.

Another non-brick holiday film I have fond memories of is "Mickey's Christmas Carol."
The full movie is not available on YouTube, but you can still enjoy the making of this Disney classic...

A Christmas Carol In Bricks by wandrer2

The film is located about halfway down the page. The direct and brickshelf downloads seem to work but the realplayer link kept sending me to the realplayer website.

Have fun.
