As requested by Mighty Wanderer, here are some additional bits of canon:

In the BFCU, the universe is made of bricks, though not all made of plastic. For instance, the bricks used to make the side of a cliff-face are made of rock, while pieces of a car are metal bricks. Nobody really questions how or why the universe is made this way, but some scholars believe it was constructed by an ancient race known as the Celestial Builders.

A minifigure’s life-force is known as the Creation Spark, like in the LEGO Universe game.

Minifigures see themselves as all one piece, so in order to put on clothes, they are just seen to go on top of the minifigures body (even though when animating, you would exchange the plain yellow torso for the clothed torso). This avoids any weirdness of a minifigure disassembling him/herself. The same goes for headwear - the hair still exists underneath.

What would everyone think to a monthly BFCU challenge? There's a theme, and anyone can go away and make a 1-minute video on that theme (let's say Spring, or Time, or something weird like Lemons). All entries would be counted as part of the BFCU, and so would go into a playlist for it, and a winner would be selected like in the Animation Challenge. People could go away and do their entries with other BFCU characters, or invent their own, etcetera etcetera.

Well?

If yes, I'll make another thread for it, and I'll think of the January theme.

The deadline each month would be the last day of that month.

That happened less with Captain America - Alan Silvestri scored that and Avengers, so, you know…

And I think that level of detail is definitely important. Once we get to that stage, we should set up a Dropbox for assets like music and give all our creators access to it.

So, somebody bumped the other BFCU thread, and I figured it would be fine to do so to this one.

What about Sharing Music?

Let's just say that a character appears in two different films, now, how cool would it being hearing his 'theme' played in both shorts? Now, obviously the creator of the character would need to talk with the composer about it, and I don't know how many of these shorts would actually have custom scores, but just think about it.

One of the few things that annoyed me about the MCU was all the different composers, and the little to no repeating of musical motifs, even between sequels. I don't know how practical it would be, but how hard would it be to simply upload the themes to Dropbox or something so others could use them?

That being said, they don't have to be custom score tracks. We all know what music is connected with Loic's 'Lesisure' series, and 'Fluffing the Duck' Captain Obvious' theme of sorts in my films, yet both are pre-recorded music tracks. So if a character is tied to a motif, perhaps we could make an effort of trying to re-use that as opportunity arises.

The more and more I think about it, the less and less likely I think I'll be able to make a film for the cinematic universe.
I've just so many different films which I want to make, and every time I stop to do anything else it pushes back these other big projects I really want to see done. The problem with having such a rampant imagination is that so many of you ideas can't be made fast enough for brickfilming.

I'm still not even halfway done with my Batman film, and then I have all of these other projects like my secret project, Vampire Cinema, The Absorbent Old Man/An Adventure in Bogeyland, Archie: Time Warrior, and another completely separate secret project. And all of these could take several months or even a year each.

I've always imagined Mr. Vertigo to have a very squeaky high-pitched voice which is actually quite similar to Jahk from Pirates Rule! so I think you'd be perfect, Squid. My own voice is pretty low, so I don't know if I could do it myself (having said that, I haven't actually tried it yet, so I'm not entirely sure, either).

Also, if you need any voice actors for any of your brickfilms I'd love to help out. As I said before, my voice is deep, plus I can do a variety of accents. Though I do need to get a new mic as my old one broke, but I should be able to get one soon enough.
