I have to say, the fact that you were rushed really shows, the animation certainly wasn't up to your standards. I think your animation style is much more suited to overacted comedy, which you've done really well with in the past. I can tell you aren't really satisfied with the way it came out, I know the feeling. The feeling I get is that because of the nature of the film and the way you were given specific events to animate, and you couldn't really be super creative, the film wasn't 100% you and your style, and I think that may have affected the way it came out.

I could also be totally off on this.
Though, whatever James Bond was running on was kind of jiggling. I'm not quite sure if that was purposeful or not. I haven't seen the movie so I'm not quite sure what was happening there anyway.
It was purposeful I believe; it was the beginning fight scene on the top of a train. Very awesome, Hazzat! The animatioon was great and lighting and camera work was awesome as well. I couldn't believe how large that stadium was, must have been an experience animating in that. Loved it!

Very nice! Like I said one YouTube:
I didn't know you were serious about using that stadium when you said so in the Skype THAC chat.
I though you were joking when you said you were gonna use that stadium. Anyway, nice job! It probably wasn't my favorite film from you. I liked the Lego Gangnam Style dance. Though, whatever James Bond was running on was kind of jiggling. I'm not quite sure if that was purposeful or not.
Was good! Do you have a new camera?
Nope, still using the same one since day one. Filming in 480p, baby.
So, how did you get that stadium?
I figured I needed an enormous Olympic stadium for the film, so I did a Google search to see if anyone had built one. Sure enough, a company called Bright Bricks had done, and I contacted them to see if I could use it. They said yes (for a price) and I had this massive stadium filling up the entire garage for the best part of a week. It's even bigger than it looks in the video!

That was very impressive. Hazzat.

So, how did you get that stadium? Did you build that? Or did you borrow it? I never though you had enough bricks to be capable of making that.
I think that may be one of the largest brick built sets I've seen in a brickfilm.

(And hooray for THAC judging)

2012: A Year in Bricks

YouTube

My second commission from LEGO!

They surveyed the British public to find the top 10 moments of 2012, gave me the list and the task of recreating them in LEGO. It's for PR, so they'll be sending it to every outlet they know. You should be seeing it everywhere pretty soon!

There was a lot to do in the short time-frame I had, so some of it was a little rushed but I won't make excuses. The film is what it is, I hope you like it!

(And yes, this means I can get round to judging THAC X now)
