I think a lot of people have this issue when they see really great brickfilms and want to make films of the same quality. I think it's important to work your way there in small steps. Work on improving one thing at a time. First worry about basic animation. Practice until you have a good walk cycle, and can do basic arm movements and the like really well. Don't worry about light flicker or cinematography or audio; you can worry about that stuff later.Just focus on one thing at a time, and when you're satisfied with your progress, move on to a different area. :)

Hey there Treeby I seem to have this problem at times, and I feel were not alone, I believe all new brickfilmers and even experienced brickfilmers have this problem, I think at times it can be a lack of self motivation, or just that you keep telling yourself it can't be done.

First trust yourself, and keep practicing even if you fail, just push yourself until you see your perfection, I recently got a new camera and I am really excited to start practicing I haven't been able to for a while as my old camera broke, I mean I have your problem but I am dedicated to see success as I am you and all others are to, I mean my first brickfilm was 3 minutes long and was created with a flip phone, just don't give up mate.

I fight this problem, by practicing and keeping self motivated to finishing the task, also try not have to much on your mind so you can concentrate on working on your film.

and good luck mate!

Kind regards Generalned

I was a member of this forum like a year or two ago but left because I was to much of a perfectionist on my films to the point that I actually stopped recording cause I felt I didn't do a good enough job.

Do any of you have this same problem? And how do you combat it?
