I don't know if there's any thing useful here: http://monkeyjam.org/faq

But I did find a link to this monkey jam support email address (who knows if you will ever get a reply): monkeyjam@giantscreamingrobotmonkeys.com

Anyway, personally I prefer Helium Frog to MJ especially because it has onion skinning, maybe you will too!

Since MJ can't be fixed, I just switched over to Helium Frog.
It'll get some getting used to, but I'll manage.

Thanks for all the help and advice! :P

MJ preview window problem

OK, two days ago I was animating just fine, and then yesterday the preview/capture window in MJ came up blank.
I clicked the capture button, and then scrolled back and could see the frame like normal, then came back forward to a black screen. Everything is perfectly normal except for the fact that the window shows black instead of the current un-captured frame.

I tried everything that I could think of, but to no avail. Re-connecting the camera, opening and closing the software, adjusting the video and preview settings, everything. And yes, I do have the newest version of MJ. So, after taking around ten frames to get the lighting and focus adjusted correctly, I animated a short scene and it came out just fine. While this method will work, it's annoying, slow and kinda hard to work with, and I want to get it fixed.

If it helps, when I move the capture window around, the section that normally shows what the camera is seeing shows one of two colors. The area where that section was shows up black, and the rest of the screen shows up purple. But, when I get a screen capture with the Windows snipping tool, it shows up as entirely purple.

In short,
How do I get the preview/capture window to show the frame like it should/used to?

Any ideas?
