As much as I get that logic, you should definitely watch the show. It has a slow-starting first season, but from season two on, it's gold.

What makes the chances for Community to be renewed for a 5th season as probable as an ant jumping over a whale was the recent news that Chevy Chase (one of the main actors in the show) just left.
Even though that wasn't NBC's fault, they should really have convinced him to stay cause they had only 2 frickin' episodes left to shoot in the fourth season and now they have to write him out... GENIUS!

So NBC fired the creator and showrunner for the show totally out of nowhere (they just sent him a quick text saying he was fired, not even talking to him or anything), they then cut the 4th season in half. The airing date of episode 1 was supposed to be in the end of October but THEN they decided to move it to FEBRUARY to make place for other NBC shows. And now a main actor left.

This network has the brains of a paper
off topic real quick:
Jargon your profile pic is the same one I have on Skype :D I bet you also saw how amazingly funny he was in Breaking Dawn Part 2.

back on topic:

NBC (worst television network of all-time) has been close to cancelling 'Community' for years and now it looks like they will. Ending it on a finale 13 episodes long 4th season... that was the best American show that was still on air...

Also shows that were good has now started to suck HARD, mostly How I Met Your Mother which is a show I could go on a rant on longer than all the Harry Potter books put together. The Big Bang Theory has gotten worse and worse since season 4 and now every episode is just a boring waste of time.
NBC Really is the worst channel of all time. They thank God that they hae the olympics, becuase they know that people will tune in eery two years!

As for How I met Your Mother: I wish that Ted would hurry up and meet the mother so all the people that hae been strung along all this time can say, "YAY! Now I can tune out!", which people do anyway when partners comes on. But despite trying to crank up the vulgarity, Big Bang theory has actually gotten funnier.

I won't watch Fringe, just because they advertise is as by the writers of the alleged Transformers live action movie.

Other series that JUST ENDED WITHOUT NOTICE

Joan Of Arcadia (een the actors were stunned! but it still worked although it wasn't all wrapped up)

Kyle XY (Y?)

Ghost Whisperer (but it got so dumb the lasdt two seasons it desered it)

No Ordinary Family (WHY???!!!! And why did it whey still release the DVD as the COMPLETE FIRST SEASON, as if they'd do another???!!!)

Pan Am (Then they replaced it with the horrible GCB, which, unlike Pan Am, I'e seen aailable on DVD)

As for the FLintstones, that's been done since 1966, but it wasn't an unfolding series in the mystery sense (although they added Pebbles in season 3, Bamm Bamm in series 4, Hoppy and the Weirdlys in season 5, and Gazoo in final season 6.) FLintstones also had seeral movies beyond the series' finale (much like the Waltons), including A MAN NAMED FLINTSTONE, THE WEDDING OF PEBBLES & BAMM BAMM, THE FLINTSTONES MEET THE JETSONS, and others. There were also spin off shows, including but not limited to THE PEBBLES & BAMM BAMM SHOW and the anacronistic FLINTSTONES KIDS (anachronistic not because of the coexisting dinos and people, but because that series took place when they were younger, in the year 1 million BC, but in the original series, as adults, 1 million BC was in the future.

Oh yeah, John Doe. Never understood why they didn't renew it.

I think what needs to be done is that the American Networks need to consider their international audience. Y'all get the stale days-old bread while the American audience get first pickings. And what international shows do Americans see? None, really. Most of them end up on Hulu or BBC and non-cable subscribers will never hear about it, with the exception of Doctor Who.

Oh, and Alphas is another good one. Seems like the ones you like, Si665, are coming from network channels, not cable channels.

I also really liked John Doe, and Jericho, but at least they did a couple of made for TV films that wrapped (if some what rushed) Jericho up.

I'm a realist I understand that if a TV Channel is losing money because they have no viewers for a show they have little choice, but I do feel it would be good if they allowed the writers the option to have a double episode to wrap a story up as best they can for the fans. Espically if that show is a running / unfolding mystery series.

I am really enjoying Touch and I hope that gets rounded off properly.

(I obviously have way too much viewing time on my hands lol)

The Jeffersons-done
I'm pretty sure the flintstones ended in 66 and its the JETSONS not the Jeffersons and that ended in in 87.
Ed, Edd, and Eddy-done
That was a terrible show that made no sense what so ever...

also Toonami was probably the best for cartoon network and all of the Channels i liked got removed for no reason! , What is going on!

I agree that Terra Nova was a sucky, predictable blunder. On the topic of the original subject though, I wouldn't give up hope on US TV just yet, especially with the on-going seasons of Game of Thrones and Mad Men, which are brilliantly executed and extremely fantastic shows.

Even Gordon is split between Fusco and Carter. It's definitely not showing signs of cancellation and certainly has its elements of mystery.
