There's most likely going to be another Re-Run this year, however the date is uncertain. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled in the mean time.

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2012 Re-Run Animation Challenge Results!
We had some very creative and unique entries, and we were thrilled to watch them all! :) To not keep you in suspense any longer, we will get right down to it....

5th Place: purpleducttapehat (The Hunger Games: Fireball Scene in LEGO!) :)

JP's comment on purpleducttapehat's film:

Ah the Hunger Games. You attempted to take on one of the most dramatic and intense scenes in the movie, and you did a very nice job of it! The animation in this film may have been the best in the contest (along with Mighty Wanderer's) and the fire was a nice touch. The thing that was missing in this film was sound. The lack of sound really made this film drop some scores.

Anteater's comment on purpleducctapehat's film:

Despite a couple of flaws here and there, this was an overall good film. The effects for the fire were done really well while the sound wasn't at its best. I hope to see more films from you in the near future. :)

4th Place: Mickey (LEGO Charolett's Web) :)

JP's comment on Mickey's film:

Very nice choice of a book/movie to recreate Mickey! I really liked how you were able to recreate more than just one scene, but rather the whole basis of the story in a short amount of time! Just work on your animation a little bit more, and then you could be going places!

Anteater's comment on Mickey's film:

Yay Charolett's Web! :) As JP said, nice idea for this contest. On the downside, the lighting was ok but not the best, the animation overall was pretty choppy, and at times the sounds would be a bit to loud in some places, and quieter in others. Good film overall, but just work a bit more on your animation skills. :)

3rd Place: Rogeralan (Duck Soup The Mirror Scene in LEGO!):D

JP's comment on Rogeralan's film:

I love the classics, and you chose to re-make a very classic scene. I was highly impressed by the mirrored animation, and the silence of the film helped capture my attention. If anything, I would advise just improving on the realism of the animation, perhaps using gray-scale for this kind of film next time, and maybe even adding a crowd laugh reaction in between gags.

Anteater's comment on Rogeralan's film:

Haha nice one! This is a very good example of incorporating a classic into a brickfilm. Every second was enjoyable. Although, as good a film as it was, you should probably work on camera angles (this is really inportant) to increase the dyamity of your film.

2nd Place: Short Productions (Kiddnapped by Robert Luis Stevenson):D

JP's comment on Short Production's film:

Fantastic job of setting a mood in this film. The atmosphere was well created. The cinematography in this film was also very nice. Besides some choppy animation, and voice acting that was not the greatest, this film was very nice!

Anteater's comment on Short Production's film:

Incredible job on adapting this film from a book. I have to say, you nailed this one with the voices, lighting and the atmosphere of the characters and landscape. The animation was decent, and overall very, very nice job sir!

1st Place: Mighty Wanderer (LEGO Batman: Shark-Repellant Bat-Spray):DD

JP's comment on Mighty Wanderer's film:

Fantastic sound design, and a humorous recreation. The animation was good, and the concept was well thought out. Great job!

Anteater's comment on Mighty Wanderer's film:

Ingenous, witty and brilliant! I loved every second of it. The sound wasn't the best, but the animation was great! I think you really hit it home in the closeness to the movie category.

Thanks everyone for participating! I will contact the first and second place winners about their prizes as soon as possible.

Thanks again!
