Helium Frog does save its output automatically. In fact it does it as it goes along. Look in the program directory for a sub directory called captured_frames. they are all in there waiting for you! It outputs in Motion Jpeg format which causes less losses when you edit them.

There is a full manual on the website that isn't too long and explains all the features.

Sound in animation is generally king if you have spoken voices. You complete the sound and animate the video to it. It is almost impossible to do it any other way especially if you have lip syncing.

A lot of animation packages (Helium Frog included) have so many features to assist you, you get into bad habits. You find that when you graduate from simple animations that you have learned all the wrong working methods such as animating before planning out your scenes and not working out the timing because you can fix it later in the editor. Lego is a very forgiving medium which is why its so much fun to animate with, but it can lead you into trouble.

I dont recall Ray Harryhausen complaining that he couldn't delete a frame etc etc. And I believe his work was really quite good!!!!

LIVE syncing to the animation???
You would like to capture, and in the same time you would like to see how much pictures you just have to capture???
Hm, interesting, I don´t know nothing about a program like that. If there is one, just let me know...

But there ist wavTRACKER, with this software you can track how many frames you have to make (movie), to let it sync/in the same lenght like the audio is:

Good luck

You can do that on monkeyjam, but you can't move the audio around. So what you could do is, when you get to speaking parts of places where you want to sync the sound, just export what you have, then make a new sheet for your sound part and save that separately.
