It's completely fine to use Windows Live Movie Maker. The solution to his problem isn't to get a new software as Jackpody said. I use Windows Live Movie Maker myself and I find it quite good at doing what I need. Some people are surprised when they find out that I use it after seeing my films.

As far as your problem goes, I'm a little confused. Are you saying that both the audio and the video aren't working? The first thing that comes to my mind would be if you relocated the files to a different spot on your computer. When you start a project in WLMM you have to keep the files you are using in the exact same spot on your computer or it won't work. Usually if this is the cause of the problem it would show a yellow exclamation point or alert you to the fact that the video isn't working. If this is the case, simply right click on the clip in question and hit "fix" I believe and then locate the file.

Is your audio track separate from your video, or are you talking about the audio from the video itself?

That's not what he's asking for. Some people like using Windows (Live) Movie Maker which is fine, he just wants his issue solved.
