I hate Phase II because the acting is horrible. They pick actors not for their talent but for money that the actors invest in the project. I understand that they are just fan-made production and they really need money and I do like the sets but the acting and the casting decisions simply ruined it for me.
That's how they pick? No wonder... A few of the actors have turned in good performances though, and it is nice when some of the orignial actors guest star. The episode that annoys me though, is their first one, "In Harms Way." It had great potential, with it being based on "The Doomsday Machine", with appearances by William Windom and Barbara Luna, and the idea of seeing the TMP Enterprise in a TOS setting was a nice touch. However I never could figure out why the Planet Killer wiggled around, and the ships did impossible barrel roll moves, and some of the editing really killled it. I wish they had held off on that one until later.

The Starship Farragut people, they also have Grant Imahara as Sulu. Just wondering, why don't you like Phase II? Granted, the acting isn't the best, and some of the effects don't look professional, but some of them aren't too bad.
Not sure if this is completely relevant, but I started watching the film Galaxy Quest, a parody of Star Trek. It's not very good but still really funny (in the stupid sort of way)
Is it funnier than Star Trek Abridged on Youtubez? :) In that case I'd watch it.
I just saw What Are Little Girls Made Of? and I've gotta say, that was pretty awesome. I wasn't really expecting it to be good in the beginning but as the episode went, the story got better and better; it was another good episode.
One really silly thing I remember was that Captain Kirk broke off a huge male genitalia shaped rock or something like that to defend against the protagonist who looked like Frankenstein :D
The Trouble with Tribbles
As mentioned above it indeed is very funny.
If you like that one you have to see Trials and Tribble-ations when the DS9 crew go back in time to that episode.

As for me I can happily watch any Star Trek. My least favourite (though this doesn't mean to say I don't like them) are VOY and ENT. Voyager had a great set up but the writers weren't brave enough to follow it through and they made it just another TNG. I was young when it started so when I rewatched I only found out recently that the premise was there were two enemy crews on one ship but this is practically unnoticeable from after 5 episodes. The Marquis shouldn't have been put into Starfleet uniforms and every episode where something dramatic happens shouldn't be reset all the time. Like when Voyager is seriously damaged it's fine the next week, regardless of how far away they are from supplies or the time they introduced the psychopathic crew member the producers killed him off shortly after.

Ronald D Moore has some interesting criticism of Voyager but I can't find the link.

I also recommend that people check out DS9. The first 2 seasons are like one long introduction but after that it's about the conflict with the Dominion for the next 5 seasons and since unlike all the other series of Star Trek, the setting is always the same part of space so problems from past episodes always come back so it makes for much more gripping drama than TNG in some respects.
