Hey animationIsaac,
With the white expanse, I have a Canon EOS 600d (T3i),
So it is very flexible.
I had 2 lights facing the set, quite close to it.
One of the lights was up higher, facing diagonally down on the set, kind of from the back-left (facing the set),
and one light diagonally facing the set from down lower, from the front right.
On manual setting, I bumped up the ISO to about 800, had the exposure on normal, the shutter speed on about 1/200 and the aperture on 6 or so. It looks like your exposure is too high and your aperture is too high.
I have really no experience with webcam brickfilming, so I don't know if you can change the aperture and exposure.
But, it seems that your aperture is too high for your exposure level, try toning down either one at different rates.
This will change the lighting of the foreground to better suit the background, and the lighting of the background to still be a bright white.
It also kinda looks light your sigfig is out of focus.
Another thing, use two lamps.
I didn't put paper over my lamps, because I dulled the image by about 50%.
I hope this helps, It might be a bit longer than it should be, but, whatever :)
I might make an unlisted video of how I went about my background, just for you :D

Oh, and Redbrick, thanks for the comment :D. Really appreciate them - and yeah, It was just a background test really so I didn't want to put too much effort into it. I can see how you can see that it needs some easing - it looks a bit abnormal.

Hm, not bad, when I tried white expanse I put the light like this.

But on my webcam, I messed around with the brightness and it turned out more like this.

How did you do your white expanse?

Just a very short and random test that I did to see how my new little studio is to work with (i.e. - the table in the front room)
I know. I messed up with the light flicker, and I know why.
And yeah, the animation isn't so good, again, I was just testing the white expanse.
