Can you give me the link to an HD adapter?
Which type? RCA to USB, but not easycap? I used to have a bunch of links bookmarked and stuff for future reference, but they're all gone after my computer wipe. I remember it was like a 70 dollar box or something.

Well you can get an mini hdmi to hdmi cable, and plug it into a hdmi port on your computer. If you don't have one (like me), I think they sell hdmi (both hdmi and mini hdmi) to USB, or maybe even an hdmi to VGA. There's many adapters and such. If you take the RCA cable that comes with the panasonic (I'm assuming you're using the FZ35), which plugs into your camera at one end, then has the 3 pronged rca cable at the other side, then you can get an rca (input) to usb (output) adapter (not easy cap, but an HD verson). There's even RCA to VGA adapters. I think any one of those types of adapters will transmit an HD live feed to your computer, though not entirely certain.

Any of these (maybe not rca to usb, because that mainly is easycap) is greater than easycap.

I tried to use an EasyCap a while ago on my Canon powershot. Don't waste your time. Most EC's only support 320x240, and are usually inapplicable in animation programs (Virtual Dub supports the EC, however). If you can, try to find a better converter because the EasyCap just isn't worth it (Not only that, but it is a pain in the butt just to get it to work on any computer).

So, My mother is getting an easycap to convert out home movies to DVD.
My question: Can I use this with my Panasonic to get a live feed into MonkeyJam?

I've heard that it only supports 3:4, which is fine for me, but I've also heard that it only supports 800x600.
Is this true?
