Yea, you'll want that off too. It won't matter what focusing point you put it on because you'll probably be using manual focus. If not, put the focus point on whatever you want to focus on. I suggest manual focusing though.

I have a Canon T3i. Turn your mode dial to Manual. Then change your aperture according to how you want your shot to look like. A lower number f/2.8 will have a shallow depth of field meaning that the background of what you focused on will look very blurred. A high number such as f/22 will have a deep depth of field meaning that the background of what you focused on originally will also be mostly in focus. Play around with your shutterspeed to achieve the lighting you want whether it be bright or dark lighting. You normally want to keep you iso to the lowest possible number. But also try to keep your shutterspeed around 1/10 of a second or higher. Make sure to go through all of your white balance settings to make sure you have it set on what you want the scene to look like. Also remember turn off anything like high iso noise reduction off because that will make different noise fluctuations in your video. I don't know if you knew about all that stuff, but I went ahead and wrote it down

Now I need to know what settings to put my Sony alpha A200 on. Can you guys help please! What settings do you guys use with your canons or whatever you have, that is not a web cam.
