I'm looking for 4 or 5 actors (male and female) for my next stopmotion short called:

What do you think of Porsche Boxters?

Its going to be a 5 - 10 romantic comedy minute film dedicated to an old friend of mine. Its about a young man called Jeff who's quite a shy person, who is dragged along on a blind date with his friend Kyle. On this date he meets a very scary, yet very good looking girl called Kathrine. She's a very intelligent girl, and in some ways quite arrogant but her and Jeff start to get along and Jeff starts to fall in love with her.

Kathrine is based on my old friend and some of the jokes in the script are from some good times we had - one of them is the title.

I wrote the script this time last year and have been meaning to do it for a long time. Watch some of my past Lego films for an idea what I could do. I plan to make this one my best quality one yet with new equipment, software and skills that I've developed.

For the last month I've been working on some basic storyboards that I will send to the hired voice actors for help and inspiration.

So, the characters:

(All main characters are in their late teens/early twenties.)

Kathrine (About 30 lines)
The girl that that Jeff falls in love with - the not kind of girl he'd likely would. She is a very intelligent, sarcastic, stubborn and sometimes arrogant girl. She's loves Shakespeare, hates football but loves cars etc. She kinda of a very academic tom boy, but good looking.

Kathrine is also very easy to offend, and will give you evils if you do. However Jeff seems to overcome this with her. She can also be dramatic.

I'd like her to be subtly American, as my friend was actually born in the United States but lived virtually all her life in Britain.

Test Lines:

"I hate it! And don't ever wink at me!" She's quite angry and dramatic at this point. Kyle has offended her.

"Shakespeare. I love Shakespreare." She's being nice at this point. Jeff and her are getting along quite nicely.

Kyle (About 30 lines)
Jeff's friend who thinks he's quite cool. He's very chilled out and bit of a flirter. (Preferably British.)

Test Lines:

"Cheer up mate. There's plenty more girls in the Ocean" Trying to cheer up Jeff.

"Hey Stacey." He turns to Kathrine trying to be cool and sophiscated by giving her a little nickname. "And you must be Cathy" He's a little flirty with the Cathy bit.

Stacey (About 5 lines)
Kyle's date and Kathrine's friend. A cute blonde. Quite up front, not particularly shy. (Can be American or British.)

Test Lines:

"Fish Kyle. Fish." Putting Kyle straight on a famous saying.

"Dramatic! She can be very dramatic." Nervously trying to explain her friends weird behaviour.

Waiter (About 5 lines)
A side character in the story who serves Jeff and Kathrine in a cafe. Jeff mistakes him for a woman so he isn't the most happy Waiter in the world. (Preferably British.)

Test Line:

"Here's your two teas sir."

Jeff (About 50 lines)
Now, I was going to play Jeff, but if anybody would like to audition be my guest. He's quite a shy and timid person, but a very nice character. He's a little nervous about this date. His accent must be British.

Test Lines:

"For some reason, I actually was beginning to like her. We were actually starting to get along." He's very sad at this point. He feels a little annoyed with himself as well, as he thinks he just ruined his date with Kathrine.

"Hmm, yes. I know what you mean. I don't like football either." (Pause) "Its a very dull sport" Jeff trying to say that he doesn't like football but isn't very convincing.

Thank you for taking a look at this audition, but please consider having a go at one of the parts. It would mean a lot to me.

Thank you.
