Thanks for the tutorials, Moyrust, also, ANP, I was actually looking at your tutorial on BiM about cartoony gun flares though I tried to modify it on GIMP to make it look a bit less cartoony, it didn't work. =L

In case you forgot.

Now that I think back on it, mine are sort of a cartoony, but not entirely. A little bit of a happy medium.
Like others have said, the flare is too small. But I think it's biggest problem is the fact that the red is solid. It needs some light, a little white in the middle, the colour should always serve more as an accent at the edges.

Another thing would be to shine a torch/flashlight on the scene. It's easy to do, and gives you an extremely realistic lighting effects which does not take ages of special effects work.

Anyway here are some tutorials on muzzle flashes which you can do for free.
Weird and too small. I can't actually say anything. It's so small, like Sméagol said to me in Chat, that my little energy ball test was so small, that he can't say anything for it.
What do you mean by "small?" Do you mean short or are you talking about the gun flare.
Only one second. And this is 4 seconds,
What was only one second?
but I can't say anything still, because, you know. Do bigger test.
Hehe, the funny thing about this test is I only made it because I was bored. I also wanted to practice making flares which turned out pretty crappy.
I think it's not very choppy
Thanks.
and black scenery confuse me, but so on. Keep going and bigger!
What about the black background was confusing?
It was a little bit fast and the animation was a little choppy, but not bad for a test. :)
Thanks though yeah, I agree it was fast and a little choppy, I don't think I took enough pictures. :/

Vimeo link.

It's not good enough to deserve a place on my YouTube channel. =T

Edit: Ugh. Vimeo has that stupid "wating in line" thing. Seems you guys will have to wait.

Double Edit: I uploaded it onto my alt channel on YouTube, no line waiting there.
