These aren't laptops, they are using desktop CPUs and say desktop on them.]]></description>

Because it's a quad core? If so, what type of situations would justify spending the extra for the quad over the dual core?[/quote]

Well, if he starts doing heavier work such as Blender, After Effect, programs by the Foundry they usaully recommend quad cores. Also, you get a good amount of RAM and ghz and with the others you have to sacrifice one for the other.]]></description>

Here is what is listed for the graphics:
	"ATI Radeon HD 3000 integrated graphics with up to 1696MB Total Available Graphics Memory as allocated by Windows 7"

Not sure what this really means.  So would you still say the graphics are good?]]></description>

None of them have a video card but do have "integrated graphics".  So which one would be best suited for making stop frame animation movies?
