Put the camera on the ground, and get a much more up close view of your characters.
In your case, I'd make the angle be slightly more to the front than in this picture, but do you get the basic idea?
I hope that helped. :)
Thank you for your suggestion...In the case of my animating, I cant put the camera on the ground or I'll get a huge "Looking-Up" on the set image. Hazzat made some nice suggestions aswell, on putting the set atop a book or such. I'll try it out :).
Anyways let me give a review instead of making pointless posts pointing out certain things. Anyways, the storytelling was okay, the end seemed definitely rushed, trying slowing the pacing towards the end. Also the guns didn't fit the time period at all, stock up on your pirate sets for some nice muskets, or buy from bricklink/eBay. The voices were fine, the story was fine. But there's still lots to improve.
2.5/5
I have guns for the pirate sets, I have a couple of muskets, and a few pistols. I didn't think the brickarm I used was that out of date, but apparently it was :P. Yes, I'll keep on making films, hopefully getting a little more out of each film. And thanks for an actual review ;).

You've improved a lot since 'The Superhero'. The pacing and story is far more comprehensible, and the dialogue is much more serious. The ending was terrible, but that's probably because of its unfinished nature. I recommend listening to everyone else's advice here though.

Hey, LSP, I have a cinematography suggestion which I hope will help. :)
When you have people talking, like in that one part, take the shot more like this:

Thank you Eric. I know what you mean about my pacing being better. It was actually quite easy to fix, and yes, I was trying to do more camera variation, but I didn't want to be too inconsistent. I'll take your 2.8/5, and increase it to a higher rating in my next film ;).

"I want your town"
"NO CRAAWWMMMEEE BROKE OUT"
I really wanted that to happen :(

Anyway, in seriousness. As others have pointed out, the weapon looks a bit to modern for the time period, I would have gone with one of Lego's revolvers if I where you. Im glad the speed of the film isn't as fast as your previous work which is a nice improvement, the animation also seemed more fluid and less "sped-up" if you know what I mean, so more improvement there. As JK stated, the film is lacking in sets and cinematography (im the one to talk lol). But I understand you've hopefully ordered some more lego in one colour. Just work on changing the camera angle a bit more often to something new instead of the standard angles and all.

Overall 2.8/5
A bit more camera-angle variation and it would be a 3. Still though, overall its a massive improvement.

LSP, you seem to have a little trouble taking some criticism.
Criticism is a good thing, it helps to make us better.

For example:
The only things that I didn't like were the excessive arm movement when the characters were talking and the footstep noises were a little...well...annoying.
This is somewhat degrading. Especially considering "Plastic Step" was my favorite sound effects.
But it inspires me to do better, I believe I made the arm movement slightly less insane in my current project, and re-recorded much better step sounds. My film is much better than it would have been otherwise.

I won't lie, it's not a pleasant experience.
But in the long run it's for the best, just try to implement ideas from some good criticism into your films. :)

Well, you still need a lot of work. I felt it was paced too fast for that sort of story. The voice acting was pretty good, but the animation was sub-par, making the dialog look quircky and weird. Also, the sets weren't that great, though you're improving (I can't technically say different, since our sets are usually pretty simple as well).

1.5/5.
You've improved, but what you still desperately need to work on is set design and cinematography. The shots are always so bland, and they usually cut off the top of the head. The set design didn't look much like a Western. Maybe invest in buying more LEGO?

Yes, I have purchased more lego. Bigger collection :D. Just curious, out of 5 how much would you give this film? :)
