			<description><![CDATA[Fairly easy contraption with good outcomes. Funny nobody seems to have used the method of gearing up and down as shown here. I've seen it helps with camera cradles quite a lot.

			<description><![CDATA[I'll put my object at the end of the stick. I'll then film it with the stick moving forward by cranking the handle one quarter turn per frame moving the object. And in post-production, I'll edit out anything from the stick, or any part of the mechanism, making it appear that the object is flying very slowly and smoothly. I think I'll play it at the same speed I have here.
Think that's a good rate for slow-motion dramatic falling off of a building shots? :)]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[It's not really a dolly shot. I just pushed the camera with it. xD

You just take the thing and push one edge of the camera, push it just about anywhere, and it will make it rotate slightly. I had the camera sitting on a smooth wood floor so it could easily slide and spin.
:)
I'll also probably use this to push a regular dolly on tracks eventually for perfect side shots.

(P.S. On the subject of slow-motion, are you going to upload your unmasked version of your animation? I've been wanting to see that.)]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[Nicely done, and it will definitely help, but the trick is still to get your minifig to move in small increments ...(as I painfully found out during your animation challenge...). So not only "static" movement (where the minifig moves as a whole) but also "active" movement (where the minifig would also move it's arms, legs, hands or head).

For a slow dolly shot it would be helpfull to have a similar construction for moving the camera! Basically the same principle would apply, but you would probably need loads more of these "teeth" bricks (if you know which I mean).

edit: Sorry, just looked at it again and saw that you DID use this for a dolly shot with the cam. How did you do that? If I recall correctly you have a rather large camera, don't you?]]></description>

I made these using a very special thing I call the slow-mo machine. It's simply this thing with a handle you keep turning to get extremely slight and consistent movements for some slow motion shots. In the video you can see the machine and how I built it.

I made this for my LEGO Batman film "I am the Night" as I plan to have somebody fall off of a building in extreme slow-motion. I'll use this so that it will be extremely slight and smooth. I'll use masking in the movie, better camera angles and such.

Sorry about the flickering, I was making this just to test out the smoothness of it.

I also tested using it for moving the camera and pushing a flashlight.
