It helps to have the story before you write the script.
I'd say... write a rough draft (about a page on Word) then rewrite the draft.
After that, write a rough script with only the essential plot points in the story, then go through and fill it out, add extra details, change bits, whatever. Eventually, you'll have a good script.
I'm having trouble with story writing too. I have the perfect plot, (that I'm not going to share ;) ) but I'm just not good at filling in details around the plot.
What I do is usually put on some music that fits the theme and plot of said film. Like, if you want to devise or expand a plot for an action film, you basically listen to something like Introduce a Little Anarchy by Hans Zimmer. (Yes, I'm insane about The Dark Knight :P) Try it. it worked for me. :)

I personally never right without Celtx. It automatically formats EVERYTHING, which although I had been writing long before I knew Celtx excisted but it still makes it quicker, and plus you can save each draft as a .pdf for later comparison.

Hope that helped.

P.S. TO THE NUIMOBILE!!

Are there any problems on the day of the joust?
Is the knight John jousts against really good? Really bad?
What type of person is the other knight? Is he likable?
Does John win or lose?
Is the princess really worth being jousted over? Why or why not?
Does John like to joust, or does he just do it for the princess?

Answer a few of these questions and the story will write itself. Think about what could logically happen from what you have written so far. Put yourself in John's shoes and look around. See what John sees, and build his world as far as it needs to go.

Here it is...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction

The screen is showing the title, who made it, and what it is for(Example: THAC 8.) John(the main character) will be getting ready for the big day, the day he jousts a knight for the princess.

JOHN

"I must be ready for the day of the Joust. I must prepare!"

scene 1

As the camera moves, it shows John exercising. (I will put what he will be doing later)

As the camera is showing him exercise, it will show a calender. With every bit of practice John does, the days will be marked off on the calender. Eventually, the camera will zoom in on the day of the joust.

Your problem probably is that you're thinking that you don't know how to continue, instead of thinking of things that could happen next. Think of several things, out of that more things will come until you have something. And I don't see how CeltX would help with thinking of a story, it's a program to write your scripts in, it doesn't write them for you.
