I am very suprised this hasn't made it into the film directory yet. I loved this film. Between the original concept and the amazing animation, I can't wait to see what you produce in the future. I loved the suprise ending, too! Between this film and Marooned, it looks like you may be the next master brickfilmer.

Bump.
Anyone else? Got an email today from Smoovie, I'm the runner up! :D They said that it'll be on their website soon, I'm looking forward to seeing the winning entry and the other runner up. Was it you who won Jstudios and Onion? Or Bricks on Life, he made a great entry too!
Well done everyone! ;)
halfway through the picture got a little squashed, but that's ok.
That was the app I got to change the colour. It's called isplash, and cost me 59p. I took each of the frames I wanted to colour, it changed them into black and white, and I simply just had to paint the colour back in. But it saved the images as .png's, hence why they were altered a bit.
It's great to hear you liked it though. ;)
I especially like the cameo of the wizard, that made me laugh. I don't know why, nut I always love cameos and references. They make Brickfilms seem like they're all linked together in their own universe.
I'm glad you noticed that. In fact it was linked to 'The Magician's hat'. The alleyway the magician disappeared down was meant to be the alleyway where 'The Magician's hat' took place (just altered a bit because the TMH takes place later). Notice the box moving at the end, just as the guy turns away.
So I suppose you could say this was a prequel to it. :3
Anything else? Ratings, comments, criticism, reviews? I'm glad to hear that you guys would like this to win. :DD

AMAZING! The story was GREAT! I loved the ending too. I thought it was great but halfway through the picture got a little squashed, but that's ok. I'd give it a well deserved ..... 8/10 just because the picture got distorted and there was some light flicker but other than that I'd say you have a GREAT chance of winning!
Good luck,

Reminds me of Small World, in a way. (Not storywise.) I really, really like it. Although the general idea was no the most original ever, you made it very nice with lots of nice touches (the dancing Mime). I especially like the cameo of the wizard, that made me laugh. I don't know why, nut I always love cameos and references. They make Brickfilms seem like they're all linked together in their own universe. Good luck with the contest, you surely deserve to win.

Loooooved it. I don't care if you win, because you really deserve it. It was a stroke of genius this film, I really enjoyed it. Technically it lacked a little, but was overall over-par. Personally the story was the high-point for me, and the execution of it.

8.1/10.0

Good luck in the contest.
at one time when you had the man run very close to the camera I could tell that you weren't actually moving him forward.
Anyway, awesome film, I really enjoyed it. ;)
Yeah, I feel a bit stupid actually putting that shot in the final cut. I would have animated him properly, but using 20FPS is pretty time consuming.
Glad you liked it though. :)

Haha, I'm not sure whether to love this film, or hate you for ruining our chances of winning. :P This is absolutely awesome, when the mime started dancing and the guy was bobbing his head I started laughing quite a bit. My only nitpicks are that there was a bit of light filcker and at one time when you had the man run very close to the camera I could tell that you weren't actually moving him forward.
Anyway, awesome film, I really enjoyed it. ;)

The Magic of Colour - SMOOVIE

You Tube

One man discovers the magical powers of a wand.

A film of magic, colour, and a dancing mime. Also features the return of a familiar looking figure with a top hat...

This was my entry to Open Planet Software's stop motion competition. The theme was magic.
