My Review:

The concept was good yet confusing at some points. I loved the part where the two characters were sucked into each other but the animation was kind of choppy with a little bit of light flicker. Like I said the concept was great but had a few flaws. First off, the idea was not original. It reminded me of Coraline and some other films. Secondly once he was in the second dimension nothing really happened except him getting combined with himself. A great idea yet poor execution but an overall score of 3 out of 5 because you captured my attention and kept me guessing. Well done :)

I liked it, I think that writing too much about the story would give information away. Anyways, here's ours:

"Beyond Infinity" by Golden (Sorry, no link)

'Beyond Infinity' is a film that has an interesting plot but it lacks in technical areas. The story of this film is very intriguing, it has an interesting concept portrayed in a unique fashion. The narration is very well done and it conveys the message of the film very effectively. The background and set design is also well executed and it enhances the viewing experience for the audience. Aside from the those achievements, however, the audience begins to recognize some technical flaws. The animation is inconsistent being smooth at some moments and erratic at others. Also the effects in this film (i.e. chroma keying, CGI, and compositing) were poorly done and are the downside of the film. All in all, 'Beyond Infinity' has an unique story, well executed voice acting and intriguing sets. But the film struggles in animation and effects.

Ratings:

Overall: 5

Animation: 5

Sound: 6

Story: 7

Effects: 3

Cinematography: 4

That is our review, I really hoped that you enjoyed it!

Sorry, double-post :(

Here's my review for ''The dishonest garage'' by Goj Studios.

Link: The Dishonest Garage
An ambitious mischievous man is willing to cheat to get money. A concept that may seem cliché at the first impression, but that turns out to be effective and humorous.
The use of lighting effects and cartoon bubbles gives a particular style to the film. Unfortunately, ''The dishonest garage'' isn't perfect, some lights flickers was noticeable and the car crash seems a bit soft. However, the overall animation is successful.

All we have to decide is what to do with the free time that is given us, and I think this film is perfect for that.
How about this? If you take the time to write thoughtful and informative reviews, people in the community will take note of it. You will accumulate respect and position from the others who inhabit our forum. As such, you will be more likely to receive attention for the creative endeavors you embark on, whether they be brickfilms, a discussion topic, or whatever else they may be.

People ought to put work into attaining a desired position. It's the definition of entitlement to expect a title and then work to earn it.

You can dismiss my point as "hammering" or "trolling" or what have you, but it might suit you to take a little feedback. Think of it as a review of your reviewing club prospectus.
Thanks for the feedback. Once again, I apologize for my retorts yesterday, which were unnecessary and unprovoked. Anyway, in response to your reply, I have done and continue to write in-depth reviews on their topics. I'm sure a lot of people can vouch for me here as well. If nothing else this is fun little club where people can share and critique each other's reviews, making for an overall improvement in the quality of feedback.

And I did also take Smeagol's advise - this is mainly a catalog of reviews posted on the threads in the releases section. For instance see Max Butcher's review, which was posted both here and in the selected thread. Now then, you may then ask why this thread is even needed, and the answer to that is that people can get feedback on their reviews, i.e 'Great review, although it seemed a little long... it was fine up until the point where you started talking about the ______ and _______. But good job anyway.'! This in time will hopefully mean we get a better official review panel on the site, which as far as I'm concerned is always a good thing.

So these are the purposes of this thread, just quickly:
1. A place where users can come to read reviews, as apposed to having to search out films in the releases section.
2. A place to catalog high quality reviews posted in the releases section.
3. A place to get feedback on your reviews.
4. An incentive to write reviews of films more often.

I hope that clears things up a bit. I appreciate the feedback and will happily take anymore given if possible. I apologize once again for my rash replies yesterday, I mis-worded some things also, which probably didn't help. Thanks for reading.
