Yes, the faces did look a little strange; what software are you using to make the faces? Anyways, the chroma keying was pretty well done, but there was still a tiny bit of green around the edges; you can easily use spill supression to be rid of this. Also with the chroma key, there was a bit of green reflection on the minifigures and set, so you should try to keep the green matte/paper as far back as possible. The sky was well done, but it seems as though the grey baseplate in the actual shot just cuts off to the fake sky; you should have a vanishing point with a background of some point (Terrain, buildings, etc.). Though for your first test, this was very well done (Mush better than my first test).

It looks great apart from the faces.

The two guys to the far right need smaller faces, and they also need ti be at an angle.

Looking forward to the film though![/quote]

Yeah the faces were made quickly just for the test. They will be better looking in later tests.

This is my first test with some of the CGI that will be required during the production of our upcoming film, "The Ratcatcher".

The first step was to chroma key, which was done simply using a green screen and editing software.

The colors did not look right, so I color corrected the foreground and matched the background to it.

Keeping the depth of field in mind, I blurred the background so it looked natural. This is important.

Finally, I look my first shot at making and attaching CGI faces. Now if only I had After Effects...
