I would suggest creating the wings in a photo manipulation program and depending on what software you have available, transform them to give them the illusion of being three dimensional (skewing, scaling, rotating) and track their position with the minifig the wings are supposed to be attached to.

That sounds quite good. Originally, I tried doing something like that in Flash, although it didn't really work. I might try it in After Effects, though.]]></content>
