Hey all! I'm working on a Western film titled, Ransom. It's about a young cowboy who longs to be a bandit like the infamous Bandito. He ends up on an adventure with the hero of the town. I'm hoping to keep this going without moving on to a different project and it's working so far. Lots of encouragement and feedback would be really appreciated, and it will keep me on this project. hope you like it!

Here's a small test shot with some greenscreen, dust, gunshot, and masking. I know the camera is shaky, but I wasn't paying much attention to that at the time. The finished product will be better. :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD4Ruco_Gbo

Here's the first set that will show up in my film, the front of the saloon. The inside is blue now I know, but that will be fixed in the actual film, and the background doesn't look good, I'm going to print something for that probably. It'll be computer generated. And here's some storyboard for you to enjoy, I have over a hundred pictures drawn up for this, so give a shout if you want more. http://www.flickr.com/photos/57681030@N04/5307504296/

And Finally, a tad of the script, the storyboard has letters to represent each line in the script.

Scene 1

*Sweeping view of desert, focuses on building.*
*Sign is shown*
*Guys standing around chatting.*
*Shows piano player.*
Sheriff: A toast to the man who has saved countless lives, thwarted many evils, and as of late, saved my daughter!
Billy: Hehe, well I'm honored.
*Cups go together.*
Sheriff: Billy, tell us, how did you do it?
Billy: It wasn't actually all that hard y'know that? Just gotta have a good shot, and a strong arm, yeah, all that kinda stuff.
Sherrif: It still amazes me.
*Shows horses and boy tending to horses.*
Johnny: Yeah, I'm telling you, I would give anything to be a bandit. I want to be one of those bandits like Senior Bandito. One day maybe I'll even ride with him, plunder the mere citizens of the town, rise up above them. I could hold power in my very own hand. I would strike fear into the hearts of every man woman and child for miles around! That would be like a dream come true.

So, hope you all like it! I plan to keep updating this as time goes, and move it to production, then to post production, then finally releases! I'm striving to have this out before the end of the Tales Of Yore contest, so I can enter it. So encouragement and feedback! That's what I'm looking for! Please be part of this and make it happen! ;)

EDIT:

Here are some pictures of the backgrounds I'm going to print out and use, this was done with Gimp.
