			<content type="html"><![CDATA[no, it's not chromakey, it's way better (in this case)

the one used for this tutorial is the "screen" blending mode.  it basically makes it so that the darker something is, the more transparent it is.  that way, you get a nice gradual edge on the edge of the flare without any black.

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[Well, you guys asked for it, here's a tutorial on how to do the muzzle flare effect with free software.  Only, I really can't talk quite right because I have to have this jaw expander thing that goes over the roof of my mouth and makes it hard to pronounce some stuff, so i might be hard to understand at times...  :/
