			<content type="html"><![CDATA[to get a good black background you don't want any light falling on a dark backdrop (should not need to be black) to make sure no light gets on the backdrop it should be as far away from your sets as possible (so the bigger the backdrop the better) and you should only have as few light on the set, and all other lights off. If the background is far away it will be out of focus which should smooth the flaws in in, and if no light it touching it it should look black as long as it is a dark color. On problem is the light walls in most houses may reflect light onto it if you have a lot of lights on.]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[What I do is just turn off the overhead lights in the room and drape a black halloween cloak behind the set... I think it works well. :)]]></content>

Because that was my only solution at that time, we didn't have any black paper or board in the house so I had to use that. And with the right lighting and fast shutterspeed I managed to get a perfectly black background, as long as you don't point any lights at the background it won't reflect that much. 
The sleeping bag might look green in the picture, but it's really black. 

And no the quickcam isn't crappy, I have a better camera now though. :P]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[I actually just remember a black expanse I made in one of my films, I build a huge wall out of black plates and a black shell of a sleepingbag to fill up the rest. I have a photo of the set-up:
