If you make your own storyline about the villains escaping from Arkham Asylum and Batman having to stop them, or a lightsaber battle without a decent plot, or Stormtroopers in the place of any other characters (as in, a movie that would function perfectly without Stormtroopers) it's not going to be a new idea. However, if you make your own storyline about the Batman universe that hasn't been done before, then you're likely to be much better accepted.
