I have asked the question a few times and never had a definative answer. 
Are films recorded in realtime still brickfilms? I think they are although there wasn't a category in the film submission for Advertisement or real time films.

Anyhow I not only make stop motion films but I exhibit a lego train layout once, sometimes twice a year.
For my last event for the year I pulled in some extra conspirators and we are having a full blown Brick Expo.

So if you are anywhere near Canberra Australia this Sunday drop in and check out Bodville. 
Yes it is a place abeit a fictional one.
