Okay thanks guys, I run a Windows OS so I'll download MuseScore. And I want to be able to move items like the head of a minifig without moving the rest of the body. This is a good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4LySebeeCc Thanks again! :)

To keep the lighting consistant, take a frame with the person you want to mask, then take him out for the next frame, then put him back in and move him slightly, and keep doing that so that every other frame is the nonmasked background picture.

I don't get the second question. What do you mean, something like a minifig arm?

To anchor a set down, I use masking tape. Lots and lots of masking tape.

And the best way to make your own music? Download a free musicmaking program, such as MuseScore.

I'm planning on entering the Avant-Garde contest, but before I start animating, I want to know three things:

1. How do you keep the lighting consistent for masking? My pictures tend to vary slightly after taking the masked part out.
2. How do you move one part of an object without moving the rest of it noticeably?
3. How do you anchor a set down? I've tried putty but it still doesn't always hold.
. . . . . . . . .
Okay 4. What is the best way to make my own music?
