That is because the bluescreening is "biting" into the onbect, but still leaves a bit of blue there too. It makes the object look slightly deformed, but that's poor greenscreening for you.

And I'll upload an edited version with the background image and smoothed out, with more random lighting.

I don't think he meant because of the greenscreening; if you look at the right side of the model, something looks very messed up there.

I know it was because of the greenscreening, I wanted to try out CineGobs I siad. And yes, next time I am going to use a background image.

And I didn't really think about the lighting not being normal. Thanks for that!

For the record, "out of the ordinary" is not a good thing with CGI when you're trying to mimic a real-life object. Faceted edges just look amateur and ugly - like the artist didn't take the time to deal with them.

Looks all right, though. Edges of the UFO are pretty ugly. The halo effect doesn't look very glowing - probably due to your sharp-edge keying, and the ship as a whole just looks cut out from the background.

Next time use the compositor to composite it onto the background image smoothly, maybe add some bloom/glow to tie it into the background. Lighting in space is also usually pretty harsh - might want to keep that in mind with your lighting setup.

Well, I've decided to go through with one of my CGI tests that I've made (one of many). Here it is, ready to be seen. It was made in the latest version of Blender, and if you were wondering how I got the glow at the bottom of the UFO, I used a halo effect on the peices I put there. Just thought I would say that if any Blender users out there were wondering.

I know it would have been easier to use a background image, but I wanted to try out CineGobs color keyer to see if it was any good.

Critique is welcome, as it was made in a few hours!
Edit: And I know the surfaces on the side of the UFO look paneled, I purposeley made it look like that so it looked just a bit "out of the ordinary".
