			<content type="html"><![CDATA[Many 3d software packages can use .3DS files, not just 3DSMax. Blender, C4D, Carrara - whatever you're using can probably import them.

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[Well, if you did need help with Blender, I could always help out, because I'm one of the few animators who can actually use Blender for CGI shots. Leo's the best though, he amswered a lot of my questions, and make some great movies, like Plant, with it.]]></content>

No, AE cannot. AE is a video editor - MLCad and Leocad are 3d apps that use a specialized file type.
