Switching software is not going to make you any better at CGI. Carrara is pretty sweet, but the concepts are the same in Blender or Maya or whatever you use.

My advice: Stick with something free until you're really sure that it's worth spending the cash on. Maybe try a trial version of Carrara or something.

Oh, and google will do a better job at finding tutorials than any of us.

Yeah, but once you get to learn the Blender interface and how to do stuff in it, it's really quite easy. I reccomend looking at this site, it tells you everything you need to know about Blender. Just start with the top sections and work downwards. :)

P.S. $80?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? For Carrara?!?!?!?!?!?!?! How did you find it so cheap?!?!?!?! Is it the real thing, or just an upgrade? If it's the real thing, what's the website?

So I have tried unsuccessfully to use Blender for CGI bricks
or maybe i was just impatient
But i have heard great things about carrara 6 pro which i know Smeagol, T.G Tom and Nick Durron use
I found it for 80$ and was wondering is it that much easier than blender and is it worth 80$
Also where can i get some tutorials for it
thanks
