			<title type="html"><![CDATA[Looking at mics]]></title>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[So, after having done my STAR entry I realize that maybe its time to get away from the mixer and usb transfer. 

I have been using now for the past few years a Sure beta 58 or Sure SM57 and SM58 into a Nady, Behringer, or Mackie mixer and then into a Behringer USB 2 channel transfer. I've had great results with recording live music and decent results with vocals.

well personnally I don't think my voice comes through well on any of that equiptment. secondly I sort of want a set up that doesn't require a mixer and several mic stands and cables and monitors and a PA 

I've been looking at the Blue Snowball, and I see that many people use it here. 
I want to know if anyone here uses the Snowflake. I would love to compare the 2 and see if the snowball is worth the extra like 30-40 that you pay.

also what is your opinion on a shock mount? I've never had one or used one.
